We all have our own unique version of reality, which we all compile from our own
distorted perceptions, often faulty, but our own resistance to see what really is
has always been what becomes a stumbling block to us all. Call it just being
stubborn, close-mindedness, or whatever you want, the result is our slanting what
is real. Faulty perceptions have always been our downfall. Failure to view what is
does not, nor has it ever, stopped the effect of what is. We have reaped the
benefits and the pitfalls of this constantly because we refuse even the possibility
that we should be riding the wave of what is, or get the hell out of the way of it. To
paraphrase Ayn Rand: We can deny reality, we can’t deny the effects of reality.
Reality is there, but the perspective that one takes in viewing that reality
does not change it or affect it, but how we choose to see it is our reaction, right or
wrong. Depending on your perspective, you may see a glass of water as half
full or half empty, that does not affect the reality; some water is there, it could save
one from dying of thirst or drown you, what one experiences depends alot on how
you see it, yet it is always there. Each individual should have their own way of
seeing, not only do they have their very own individual viewing point, it does not
change what is seen, just how what is seen.
