Woodstock.  Everyone please shit or go blind for the playing

of the best anthem rendition ever.  He blew every mind

on the planet, probably the most patriotic  thing any great

guitarist junky has ever done,too.

What a long, strange trip it’s been.

I have a theory tho, that the whole world started

tripping one morning back in the 70’s, when I had to

tell someone from Jimmy  Carter’s white house that,

“He’s on another line and he’ll call you right back.”

You just don’t do that in this country, but I did.

I walked around for weeks after that, mumbling,

“We’re all gonna die…”  The voice on the other end

of that line was clearly pissed, when he said,

“Does he know who this is?” but he was just as shocked

as me when I replied, “Yes sir, and he said he’d call ya

right back!”

I never did apologise for that, but I am sorry, cause

ever since that day, the whole world’s been tripping.
