“Waiting is fullness”

Which is probably why this is just now getting writ.  My favorite Martian

(not the T.V. character) is actually the Stranger in a Strange Land, a book by

Robert Heinlein.  Yup, a science fictional character by the name of

Valentine Michael Smith, raised on Mars by Martians, was imaginated by

a writer, who also thought up an entire language, coined some great

phrases (one of which is waiting is fullness) and created

his own word (grok) which is actually in the dictionary.

He also incorporated a new religion into the book,

( The Church of All Worlds) and described the first waterbed,

which was made some years later.

Published in 1961, it was named by the Library of Congress as one

of the Books that Shaped America, and if you haven’t read it,

you should.
