Where exactly it started doesn’t matter as much as the fact that it started.

Jobs lost (call it environmental security), or freedoms lost, (for security),

insane debt double-speaking us into financial security, cellphone zombies

making technology secure, moral diversity making us perversely

more secure, cameras everywhere make us seem secure everywhere,

the coarsening of everything making our culture more secure.

Reality politics making our government secure, the partisan

back-biting to seem righteous and truthful every day.  Certainly not

last, and certainly not least, we seem to know that there is no God,

never has been. Despite ZERO, you know, evidence that there is none

(I think He’s been hiding in the hearts of atheists everywhere.)

there’s nada, bupkis, proof of nothing, but… good thing we’re

not straining at gnats and swallowing camels,

or we’d really be in trouble!
