Every time “we” get a diploma and can’t read

it, or (gasp) understand what it says.

Every time “we” get the literal down to a T,

but can’t get the figurative behind it to save

our butts.

Every time “we” think we know that less than

%100 is real certain, or that %110 is real.

Every time “we” fall in lust, thinking we

fell in love.

Every time “we” think, and we don’t

“grasp”.

Every time the spirit leaves us.

Peace.

Our rabid righteousness seems like the only thing, you know,

uniting us with outrage better’n a bull seeing red, but who’s righter?

Ringing in a new year, there’s us sitting on somebody else’s

oil wells, so nobody steals em. You know, the ones we

have nary a drop of stake in.

There’s us killing a bad, bad man so he don’t kill any more

of us.  You know, us ones who sware in “Thou shalt not kill”.

Ringing it in, we’re nicely asked to leave another country,

but we ain’t leaving till they pay us for the base they didn’t

ask for.  Meanwhile back at the ranch, there’s us taking

the AR’s we legally own, and involuntarily needling those

too young to know that their ancestors fought for the right to

choose such themselves.

You know, so they can go to “school” to be sex edu-macated,

common cored, cell phoned, no-disciplined,

so they can go on to borrow over their heads to learn em

how to make more money in the land of in-opportunity.

You know, so they be smart enough to know who the enemy really is.

Fair is fair, whether it’s your half a million, or somebody else’s.

Never mind that we won’t spend a couple billion trying to keep

out those illegal aliens yearning to be free, there’s no prolem

blowing 738 billion on a defense budget with money we don’t

have.  But, you know, you’re OK boomer.  It’s a good thing

we knows what good is, or we’d really be in trouble!

It’s the only way to really be sure (certain) of

anything. Sure, anyone can think they know, cause

somebody told em and they buy it like it’s the

gospel truth, and it might be, but there is a

difference, and the difference is real certainty!

It’s just like that dude said: “YOU will know the

truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Thus endeth the day’s rant.

It’s what’s for dinner, your tube may vary, but the two

sides of the same coin decree that the main course of

course is whatever they say it is, no exceptions.

All I know for sure is, there’s gonna be hell to pay

for any disturbance of the soaps, fiction or non-fiction.
