It was the best of times, but to hear people, it was the worst of times.  Just

about everybody has something to say, and that’s all.  Everyone has their

opinion,  cause opinions are just like assholes, they’re righteous and everyone

else has a devil and they’re going straight to hell, don’t pass go or collect 2 hundred.

Apparently nothing can ever be done, if there were unlimited judgeships posted

on craigslist tomorrow, it wouldn’t be enough and they’d pay minimum wage.

It’s always something, and it’s the summer of dis-content all over again.

In the dog days of summer, and the heat of the day, suffocating from all the other terms

we over-use describing conditions of extremity in what we think is what, most important

is not stressed.  Heat stroke does happen, it can be fatal, but the solution is simple:

“Stay wet, ya don’t sweat.”

AC is great, when available.  Fans are great too, when available.  Shade, drink plenty of

fluids,  blah, blah, blah…when available, but, best not to sweat.  Best way to do that,

stay wet.

Every year  people who think they know this die or suffer heat stroke.  Sweating is

actually a great, natural way to cool, but it is limited. The only limitation to staying

wet is available water.  Appearance of wet is frowned upon too much, actually staying

alive is much more important.

Damp towels, wet rags… whatever it takes for you to stay wet, stay wet!

Yes, it’s always dark somewhere, and there’s always a sunrise there too.  It is

a fact we all take for granted ( even me), but it always rises on the evil and the good,

rain falls on the just and unjust too.  THAT’S perfection for ya!

Sometimes we’re the pinball, sometimes we’re the flipper.  We go through life

bouncing never even suspecting that, but the truth is we are effects, we don’t

want to think that way, everyone likes to believe we’re masters of our own fate,

but just follow the bouncing ball, not forward, backwards.

Constantly finding the glass half empty and accentuating the negative in everything

and everybody, or finding the glass half full and accentuating the positive ,

whether you’re positively negative or negatively positive,  is a learned habit.

Just another effect of just another cause.  One of many, but still, One of many,

not that we all don’t know better,  because  we’re busy being vain and foolish,

we don’t do better.  Being the ball, and being the flipper.
